East Never Meets West

Psalm 103:12 reminds us that “as far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.”  What a wonderful thought that God has completely obliterated the sins which separate us from Him through the redemptive work of Christ!  Not only has God simply removed our sin, He has removed them from us “as far as the east is from the west.”  You can travel north on our planet and at some point you will come to a place where you cross the north pole and you will then be heading south.  Thus, it could be said that north meets south at “the north pole”.  However, if you travel east on our planet, you will always be traveling east.  There is no “pole” where east meets west.  Centuries before man’s knowledge would enable him to understand our planet’s geometry and how it rotates on an axis while revolving around the sun, God declared that He has removed our transgressions from us as far as the east is removed from the west.  Have you taken time to thank God in both word and deed for His great mercy and faithful love?
