My Defender

He stands at the right hand of the needy, to save him from those who would condemn him.”  These words from Psalm 109:31 remind me that God is my Defender.  He is ever present at our side to save us from the one who would condemn us.  Sin, in its darkness and dread, seeks to condemn us for missing the mark of being all that God intends for us to be.  But when sin and the devil cry out “failure” and “guilty”, God cries out through the precious gift of Salvation through Jesus Christ, His Son, “SAVED”!  Standing at our right hand is figurative language for being in a position to help us.  Isn’t it good to know that when we are powerless to help or save ourselves, we have God Almighty right there beside us to see us through?
