Proverbs Challenge, Day 2

On this second day of our August Proverbs Challenge, I think about the congruences of Scripture.  James tells us that if we lack wisdom, we should ask God for wisdom.  In Proverbs 2:6-8 we find the reason:  “For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding; He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk in integrity, guarding the paths of justice and watching over the way of His saints.”  What a wonderful blessing to know that our Father in Heaven knows exactly what we need.  The things that puzzle us are no challenge for Him at all!  I pray that He will help me remember to take time to ask Him for wisdom when I am confounded by the complications of life.

Blessings to you on this second day of August.  It’s not too late to join the fun and come along on the Proverbs Challenge. Read and reflect on what God says to you through one chapter of Proverbs each day through the month of August.  Then post your thoughts for the rest of us to share

One Response to “Proverbs Challenge, Day 2”

  1. Life almost sounds like a treasure hunt. We often miss the best treasures because we seek the wrong ones and “ask amiss” when we pray. I pray we will see the true treasures and seek them.
