Proverbs Challenge, Day 8

For whoever finds me finds life, and obtains favor from the Lord;

36 But he who sins against me wrongs his own soul; All those who hate me love death.”

In the chapter for today, we find the description of Who Wisdom is.  From the clues as to the Identity of Wisdom we can conclude that the Lord Jesus Christ is Wisdom Personified.  The words of verses 35 and 36 bring that conclusion to fruition when we see that the one who finds Wisdom finds life.  The words of 1 John 5:12 express the same Truth this way: “He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.”  There are so many blessings described in the chapter that we can also see that one who finds Wisdom will know life at its best.  Jesus declares in John 10:10 that He has come so that we might have abundant life.  Can there be any doubt that Christ is Wisdom Personified?

One Response to “Proverbs Challenge, Day 8”

  1. I like verse 30. Proof that Jesus was indeed there at creation.
    And verse 31. What a wonderful thought that we are a delight (Holman trans) to Jesus. It makes the hard choices worth the effort.
