Proverbs Challenge, Day 11

“The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise.”

Chapter 11 continues the wise sayings of Solomon.  It is a collection of statements that offers instruction about how to order our life so that we may experience God’s best in this earth.  The verse that grabbed my thoughts the most today is verse 30.  Living right, according to God’s plan, as He enables us will bear fruit and the heritage we leave for those who follow will bring them to know the Lord.  Winning souls demonstrates that we understand God’s love for the lost and unite with Him in His work.  My prayer is that God will help me heed this wise counsel: living a life that will help others find life in Christ, and obediently sharing the Gospel at every opportunity so that I may have sheaves to lay at the Master’s feet on judgment day!
